OOSR unites and reunites friends and family throughout the area for three days of old-fashioned fun and games, including a carnival, amazing food and fantastic musical entertainment!  There's something for everyone!  Even if you're not a native of Jefferson County, KS, ALL are invited to attend.  We would love to meet you!

The first OOSR, actually called a picnic upon its inception, took place Tuesday, October 8, 1901.  Clouds and showers greeted attendees, but that didn't put a damper on what would become an annual event for the little village of Oskaloosa, KS.  With the exception of WW II and the 2020 pandemic, the OOSR has been held annually.
