Where can I park, and is parking FREE?

Yes!  Parking is FREE, and first come, first served.  Parking is available around the courthouse square and on side streets surrounding the square.  

Is there an admission fee?

Access to the Oskaloosa Old Settlers Reunion is absolutely FREE!  

Is there a carnival at the OOSR?

Of course! What would the OOSR be without a carnival?  Evans Midland Empire Carnivals, Inc is the official carnival of the OOSR.  The carnival operates all three days of the OOSR and operates from 6 - 11 pm each night.  Wristbands are (2024 price TBD) each night for unlimited rides.  Individual tickets can also be purchased.  

What types of games does the OOSR offer?

The OOSR offers an array of old-fashioned games for adults and children.  Adults, both guys and gals, can test their hay bale throwing skills Friday night of the OOSR.  CASH prizes awarded!  Other adult games include the balloon and egg toss and much more!  See the OOSR schedule for game days and times.

What about kids games?

The OOSR offers an array of kids games ranging from the Kiddie Pedal Power pull on Thursday night to a Saturday morning devoted to kids games and activities -- pet parade, egg/balloon toss, Slowest Bike in the West, frog hop, turtle races and soooo much more!  Cash prizes also awarded! :) See the OOSR schedule for kids game days and times.

Does the OOSR have musical entertainment?

Yes. Some of the most talented musicians have graced the stage of the OOSR.  The OOSR strives to provide a wide variety of music for all ages, from bluegrass to country to rock and pop.  There's something for everyone!  See the OOSR schedule for a complete list of bands and performance dates/times.

What kind of food and beverages are available at the OOSR?

Come hungry to the OOSR!  We offer a variety of food vendors to satisfy your hunger!

Who organizes and plans the OOSR?

A group of phenomenal community volunteers! As required by 501C3 guidelines, the OOSR is made up a small board of UNPAID volunteers who oversee the organizing and planning of the OOSR.  This includes President Matt Miller, Vice-President Michael Skaggs, Secretary Sheila Libel and board member Debbie Hunt.  Numerous other community volunteers are also involved with making the OOSR possible.  Thank you, volunteers!

Are restroom facilities available at the OOSR?

OOSR provides Johnny on the Jobs.  In addition, the courthouse is also open for restroom facilities.

Is seating provided at the OOSR?

Benches, kindly provided by the Oskaloosa Lumber Company, are placed on the courthouse lawn for attendees to sit.  However, feel free to bring your lawn chair to if that is more comfortable for your fanny!

I would like be a vendor at the OOSR.  Do I fill out a form?

Yes.  Please see the "vendor forms" tab for a retail vendor form and further instructions.  Spots are first come, first served and open Thursday morning no earlier than 7:00 am.  Vendors can claim their spot on the Southwest corner of the courthouse lawn.   An OOSR representative will be available for collection fees and assistance.  ***NOTE:  The OOSR committee does its best to avoid duplicate vendors.  However, we cannot guarantee that other vendors at the OOSR may be selling your same product.  Please be aware.
